Project Description:

Valley Brook Community Church purchased a fifteen acre parcel of land to accommodate facilities that would ensure their future growth within the Town of Granby.  The parcel of land they purchased fronts on Salmon Brook and is sixty percent flood plain.  Their Proposal includes recreation space, which they would share with the Town in the form of playing fields.

This first phase of construction will include a multi-level Community Building for the Church, which will provide for a multitude of functions, from religious education to recreation and worship space.  The Site Plan provides 173 parking spaces, a treed buffer from the neighbors to the North, and a future worship space addition, which will accommodate 500 people.  The design of the building reflects the rural nature of the local community as well as the historic context of the site which was formally a cornfield.
