Contemporary
UTC had several goals for this 100,000 SF renovation/relocation project. The company sought to create a contemporary office environment that would function as a showplace for its own building products and systems. As the parent company of such brands as Otis Elevator and Carrier, it was important to have the best technologies from these companies on display in the new facility. Upon entering the building, the space now has a contemporary high-tech appearance.
Another corporate goal was to change the culture of the work environment from one of private offices to one that would promote employee collaboration, with multiple opportunities to meet both informally and formally. A variety of meeting room types were integrated into the office space. In the center of each floor is a large networking lounge.
Training
The project included the construction of a state-of-the-art facility for UTC’s Leadership Center that brings training and conferencing services to all divisions of the company. This sophisticated facility includes various-sized training rooms, breakout rooms, a large, dividable assembly space for up to 200, and an executive dining room for 150 which serves restaurant-quality food to meeting participants.
