Project Description:

In mid-2000, Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors contracted Clohessy Harris & Kaiser, LLC to design 180 Glastonbury Boulevard, a four-story, brick building with precast concrete accents. 180 Glastonbury Boulevard is located in Somerset Square, a planned development area with a series of buildings that are a combination of multi-tenant office buildings, small to large-size retail spaces, a hotel and restaurants.  This was a speculative office building with a total of 113,000 square feet of floor area.  The combination of brick and neo-classic precast concrete accents and standing seam metal roof are design characteristics of all of the Somerset Square buildings.  The building is similar to the neighboring 200 Glastonbury Boulevard, which is a smaller three-story building.  A large formal courtyard provides an outdoor seating area and a unique landscape feature that unifies the two buildings. CHK also designed all of the interior core and shell elements, including the main lobby, toilet rooms, and common areas.

We continue our relationship with Baring Asset Management as their building Architect and have designed all of the tenant spaces in the 113,000 square foot multi-tenant building, which encompasses over 80 projects in the last 12 years.
